A foundation built on hard work, inspiration and love.
From humble beginnings as a child of Polish immigrants, Lottie learned the meaning of hard work throughout her life. From the oldest of eleven children, to an owner of a small business, Lottie learned the importance of self-reliance and strength.
Never forgetting her Polish roots Lottie and her husband, Wally, traveled back to Poland to reconnect with her extended family. It was during one of those trips that Lottie met one of her cousins, Bernice (my Mother). It wasn’t long before Lottie sponsored my dad to come to the United States, so that they too could live out the American Dream.
After settling in St. Louis, Lottie encouraged my Mother and Father to capitalize on their talents by opening a small business of their own- Michael Gawrys Tailoring. And once again, Lottie’s example of hard work and perseverance shined through as my own parents’ business thrived and they too began to prosper in their own way.
My Aunt Lottie played a critical role in my family’s legacy. She and my parents ignited in my siblings and me a true entrepreneurial spirit and changed my family’s life FOREVER.
I am forever grateful and inspired by my Aunt Lottie! And I am beyond grateful to have found a home in the community of Kirkwood, where we hope to continue to spread love and inspiration.
Every day is a gift and what’s inside counts!
